Save a recipe, and find it on the day you cook.
The tarte tatin you saw on Tuesday is somewhere between a closed tab, a screenshot and a message you sent yourself. Keep it once, properly, and it will be there on Saturday.
A card, not a link
Paste the address of the recipe and Trouvé makes a card of it: the photo of the dish, the title, the site it came from. Add a word if you like — “less sugar”, “for Camille's dinner” — and that is all.
The day the blog closes or moves, the photo and the title stay. That is the kind of loss you only notice at the moment you go looking.
Filed the way you cook
Make the collections that sound like you: Sunday cakes, weeknight dinners, what you serve when there are guests. A recipe can sit in several at once.
Search forgives approximation. “creme brule”, “lemon tart”: you get the right card back without being corrected on your spelling.
Passing a recipe on
One link to send on WhatsApp, and the person sees the card with no account to create. You can share a whole collection too: they add it to their own library, and it is theirs, independent of yours.
Your private notes never travel. What you wrote for yourself stays yours.
Questions
- Do you copy the text of the recipe?
- No. Trouvé keeps the photo, the title, a short description and your own note, then opens the original page when you tap the card. The work stays with whoever wrote it.
- Does it work from my phone?
- Yes. Add the Shortcut and you can keep a recipe from any app in two taps, without leaving the page you are on.
- What about the recipes already in my bookmarks?
- Import your browser's export file: they become cards with pictures again, and your folders become collections.
- What does it cost?
- Free up to 50 finds. Then Trouvé for life, €29, one payment.
