Keep a link
Your bookmarks

Organize your bookmarks without losing a Sunday.

Six hundred bookmarks, three folders called “to sort”, and not one link you can find when you go looking for it. The problem is not your discipline: a bookmarks bar shows titles, and a title is not something you recognize.

Why your bookmarks are no help

A bookmark keeps an address and twenty characters of title. Six months later, “Long linen dress — Maison Lefèvre” and “Midi linen dress — Atelier B” are two identical lines of text, and you open both to find out which one was the right one.

Sorting does not fix it. You can file a thousand lines of text into forty folders: they are still a thousand lines of text.

What a picture changes

Trouvé keeps each link as a card: the picture from the page, a short readable title, two lines of description, and a word from you if you want one. You browse, you recognize, you open the right one first time.

Your bookmark folders become collections — rename them, recolor them, share them. The sorting you already did once does not need doing again.

Three minutes, once

Export your bookmarks from your browser — two clicks in the bookmark manager — and drop the file in. The grid fills card after card while you watch.

After that, keeping takes one tap: the Shortcut on iPhone, the bookmarklet in your bar on a computer. You are on a page, you press, you are back to reading.

Questions

How do I export my Chrome bookmarks?
Menu ⋮ → Bookmarks → Bookmark manager → ⋮ top right → Export bookmarks. You get an HTML file, and that is the one we want.
What about Safari, Firefox, Edge?
Safari: File → Export → Bookmarks. Firefox: Bookmarks → Manage bookmarks → Import and backup → Export bookmarks to HTML. Edge works like Chrome.
Are my folders kept?
Yes. Each folder becomes a collection with the same name, which you can rename or delete without losing the finds inside it.
What if a site shuts down?
The picture, the title, the description and your own note stay on our side. The card says the link is lost, and it stays readable.
What does it cost?
Free up to 50 finds. Then Trouvé for life, €29, one payment.
